Great place excellent food and service

Really good lunch buffet. Menu changes each day of the week and with local sales prices from grocery stores nearby. The establishment employs a pretty good cook and it's fair to say you won't leave hungry or disappointed. Very clean buffet bar also.

Would not recommend this place we arrived at 7:30 was about 30 min before any crab legs or shrimp where brought out was able to get about 5 legs then was told they where out of crab legs and shrimp. Without crab legs or shrimp the rest of that pitiful buffet ain’t worth 9.99 a person. When I complained they knocked off 5.00 off $26.00 per person. It s a rip off

Good food, great fried chicken

This is going to Gamma's house for Sunday Dinner Good. Not enough stars or good things to say about homemade greatness.

Amazing lunch. Great home cooking buffet style! Always fresh salad an fruit. The fried catfish an chicken was cooked just right. The many sides like mashed potatoes and gravy, red beans, cabbage and yams were all great. An even had some Oreo dessert that put me over the full line. The prices were great you can't even eat Wendy's for the cost.

This place sells the best cheeseburger and fries and on Thursday or Friday the buffet is so unreal it is awesome

My husband said the seafood was great, he had the seafood bar. I got the salad bar, and I can't say the same. Kind of plain, could use some other kinds of salads on it. It could use some other food items on it..staff was very friendly .

We loved it for a first time visit ,side bar big crawfish an the king crab was cooked well to be able to pull from the Shell's , for a Seafood bar I was hoping for a little more ,say Oysters sense Amite is supposed to be big on Oysters ,friend would have made my day, lol 👌🏼maybe shrimp pasta ,a little etouffee,over rice, the Boiled shrimp we're really good also ,large an boiled perfect, Thanks for the kind service by the young lady waitress 🤗☦️ family owned an proud,well we be back ,From Denham Springs,Watso n👍

We always enjoy eating at Murphy's Restaurant in Ameite, Louisiana.They have great items on the menu or you can eat off the buffet. Go from a short drive and watch the train is is going by

I haven't eaten seafood here but I have had the lunch buffet. The fried chicken is the best I've ever had and I love fried chicken. Salad bar is fresh. They do run out of fried chicken rather quickly. Good family restaurant and friendly folks.

The food is nothing to call home about but it'll due in a pinch. It is geared to an older crowd as is evident by the under seasoned food. The service is pretty good though. The waitresses do a good job making you feel like part of the family

The food is OK, I've had the seafood and the regular lunch buffet. I prefer the lunch buffet, cause the seafood buffet wasn't that good. Shrimp was boiled too long and the snowcrabs was stuck to the shell. The prices I paid for three ppl was ridiculous, and there is really not much food to choose from for the prices.

Giant trays as your plate!?? This place is awesome! Food was good, just enough variety at the buffet. Most people wanted seafood & that's what was steadily available. I love the "kid buffet prices" and the fact that you can order off the menu if you don't/can't do buffet. Definitely a 5 star place for a family dinner! Thanks Murphy's!

I went to lunch at Murph's Family Restaurant and ordered the seafood platter. I had my friend with me,and she and I split it. Our waitress was attentive and got our order in perfect timing so we could eat our salads. She was so nice and friendly. I tell people all the time that Murphy's is a great place to eat.

Great people and one of the best Oyster P.O. boys I have ever had. Homemade onion rings were great.

Great Friday and Saturday night seafood buffet not a large selection but what is there is good.Daily daytime buffet is average, nothing spectacular. Worth the price. Have never eaten there at night time Monday through Thursday so I can't comment.

Great place to eat. Friendly, fast, food is fantastic. Great steaks, & seafood. there food is always fresh. NONE OF THIS LEFTOVER STUFF. THE PRICES ARE NOT HIGH AT ALL COMPARED TO SOME OF THE OTHER PLACES AROUND HERE. THERE FOOD IS DISGUSTING & WAY TO PRICEY.

Gumbo was absolutely watery. It barely had any seafood to say it was a seafood gumbo. The young lady who answered the phone to take orders was rude. My experience was horrible and when I tried to call and complain they kept putting me on hold.

Friendly Staff, Clean Environment, Delicious Foods, Cheap Prices, Easy Parking. I Will Be Back. I Drove From My Home, Baton Rouge, Going To Mike's Catfish Inn In Amite. Got There And It Was Closed (Monday). But My Trip Was Not Wasted. Thanks For Murphy's Family Restaurant.

Their food is delicious and the price is reasonable. I love their fried chicken and gumbo.
